Playing off the notion of the door handle itself Sherburne designed this door handle to reference the past while using contemporary technology. For this handle a projector displays images of door handles on the glass doors in the location where a traditional door handle would reside. The images rotate showing a multitude of traditional handles. When the user reaches for the handle they trigger a sensor that automatically opens the door.
